FSR vs. Minotaur

Mar 09, 2007 20:15

I guess most of my f-list aren’t really interested in my cat or in the things I’m reading or in my life. And I guess I am not completely comfortable with reporting things like ‘I fucked him so hard, he passed out’, though I can guess (yet again) that such things would have been of much more interest. I’ll try to compensate for my unacceptable ( Read more... )

Hi there! Nice to see you again. And yay! to everything you say above. Btw, I'm the one who called those morons on manna's LJ dimwits lately (if you remember). I always had difficulties with Monotaur's opinions or rather the fangirl's acceptance of them because they reacted as if Minotaur's statutes were laws cut in stone and never could anyone have experienced anything different. So, go on posting - it's time for more variety on this topic.

Glad to see you here! :)

By the way, dart-whatever left the community soon after he realised that he’d lost. The Coalition of Dimwits is broken! Yay!

I will! :)

He left?!? Yay! again! That was one seriously idiotic specimen. And so convinced of himself always being right. Sheesh.

I had some mail exchange with manna in the past when I was still convinced it was a good idea to talk to authors directly. I have since learned better. She went on and on about how it was so great to fuck with people's minds that I just thought, "Yikes! Back under your stone, creepy writer person! I wish I hadn't written to you."

So idiotic in fact that I actually felt sorry for him.

Yeah, she's a creep. I'm glad dart-whatever left also because it's better for him: she was obviously fucking with his inferior brains. Why not find someone who is at least a bit of a challenge, I wonder?

In a few months I am taking an exam to get the Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English. After that, I am going to start learning German, which would mean that I’d be hanging around German-speaking sites more than English-speaking ones.

Let me know when you start with German - I *am* German, we can start conversing in that language instead of English.

I’ll start with German next term. But as you well know, German grammar is much more complicated than English, so I guess it’ll take a lot of time to learn it.

"Actually, I think that insisting on too much preparation is rather homophobic - as though anal sex is something *unnatural*. It isn’t. I am tired of repeating that a guy needs a thorough preparation the first several times or after a long break or if the top’s dick is huge. Because in these three cases it could hurt a lot ( ... )

Thanks! XD

I should say that I wrote these things a while ago. Some of my opinions have changed: it’s natural. You might be interested in reading a story about my holiday in Paris, which was mostly dedicated to sex.

I'm having fun reading your guides to fandom, thank you :D
(found them through a link in my f-list).
I liked what you said about 'write beautifully about beautiful things' and that JKR is light entertaining, not literature *G*

I totally agree about most writers having very little personal sexual knowledge: it shows. Especially when they approach anal sex (I laughed so hard when you mentioned 'accidents'). I guess Minotaur's guide is so widely acknowledge because it was probably the very first. Minotaur also went to some cons and panels.

Anyway, lookign forward to see yor Slasher's Guide to BDSM!

Thank you very much for your comment! XD

And sorry that I haven't replied earlier - for some reason I didn't got an email that you had commented.

I really liked reading this. I'm a woman in a fandom of female slashers and it drives me nuts sometimes that everyone seems to use Minotaur's guide instead of their own experience - as if, just because it's laid out nice and neatly on a website, it's somehow the correct view. Personally, I'm a fan of the 'go out and try, and then write what you know' method.

Anyway, this was a very interesting read, and I'll be checking out your other guides and articles (and possibly posts about your cat).
