I should probably cross-promote myself a bit...

Bloody hell, talk about too busy doing it to write about it... my life has gone a wee bit off the hook recently! But it occurs to me that I should update here with what I've actually been so busy with...

First of all I've been working on my little baby promotion company, Iron Lord Promotions aka ILP for short, which is busy trying to drag the ( Read more... )

public service announcement, iron lord promotions, reviews, i love the world, excitement, destructive music, music, brutal as hell

Congratulations with everything. :) Well done. :D

Speaking of reviews, I'm working on my Wacken-post right now. It's just taken a bit longer than expected to get everything down on paper (or up on the screen.)

Also, I like how on my f-list your post about "extremely nasty black metal, for the truly misanthropic only" was followed by someone squeeing over a baby hippo, haha.

Why do I do this to myself?

Because you (not so secretly) love doing those things? :)

Thank you :) Looking forward to seeing your Wacken review... I still need to finish mine too...

And as for your last point - yes, I admit it. You're right. ;)

My review is becoming some sort of monstrosity - it's getting completely out of hand and might just be the longest LJ post I've ever made. *g* But then, it also has to cover 5 days' experiences plus photos...

Mmmmm, Cultes Des Ghoules. If I ever want to feel again like I've been handed a mysterious tape which frightens me a little bit and sounds like a twice-copied recording of a Black Mass, this is the sort of thing I'd go for. (I also like to just rummage through R's Last.fm charts, where I turned up this band in the first place - he's the go-to guy for obscure underground stuff: http://www.last.fm/user/mr_lazarus)

Anyway, welcome to BAH and I look forward to reading your stuff! Your metal reviews are good - enthusiastic where this is apt but fair when it's not. And it's best to be busy, that's what keeps us all out of trouble :)

They are a bit special, aren't they? I played them at Oliver and he loves them too, which is usually a sign of having found something truly evil!

Thanks for the welcome, and the kind words! <3 I do enjoy reviewing, and enthusiasm is one of the things I do best - but I like to think I can at least be discriminating when I have to...

You know how much I miss you? Every time I hear of Wacken I get that feeling like I want to just jump on a plane and meet you there! I may not run with you every day like we used to but you are very much still with me and I pray that this birthday will be a special one!

Actually I was in the UK for a half Day but they ran my ass so ragged that I couldn't do anything but watch the board at the airport to see when my flight was leaving (Couldn't even take a nap!) And so I only had time to shuttle between the 2 airports and what a nightmare....but WE ARE GOING TO MEET AT WACKEN SOONER OR LATER! (I hope it is sooner rather than later). The Band is now mostly a business these days and has been stable for a long time. Nothing exciting except a Movie Project we are working on that focuses on AI and reviving people in comas through a virtual reality program that uses the internet to connect thair brains to the Ai that stimulates the cerebral cortex in just the right way to jogg them out of their comas (But some of them dont want to leave and come back to the "Real world"....mostly war veterans in comas and one who is not in a coma but in a forced dream state because he is so badly disabled he has no life here. Deep Shit. Ill send you a synopsis soon ( ... )

Sorry to hear you were here but I missed you - then again it sounds like you had plenty to do already! The movie sounds cool, and I can sympathise with the idea of people getting into a VR world and not wanting to leave, heheh. Keep me updated on that!

BUTT I promise Ill do many deep knee bends in the months before we meet at WACKEN so in case you loose your balance youll have something substantial to grab on to....(^>)

Hehehehe. I appreciate the thought but don't worry about the knee bends bro. If I'm going to grab onto a guy, I generally go for the hair... ;)
