I have almost finished the gunslinger series. it rocks. my mom is an avid Steven King reader and hates it but there's an understanding of his writing you don't grasp if you don't hunker down and read these books. the first couple aren't as awesome but then again he was younger then me when he wrote them and for that they are fucking spectacular.
