Somebody I know actually threw out her hamper and bought a new one because..... laundry detergent got spilled on it.

Please tell me detergent has some creepyweird nylon melting property that I've never heard of. Otherwise, I think my brain may explode.

Probably both, but I can't be sure for sure.

It's just hard to wrap my mind around the idea that people that stupid or that spoiled aren't confined strictly to fiction, y'know?
