Personality: Issun is your typical quirky sidekick that comes in fun size. The first thing you will notice is that he is loud. He's quick to speak his mind up and without thinking of the repercussions. Therefore he will insult others even if they are much bigger and more powerful then he is or hit on women shamelessly. But there is a reason for this, when you are somebody that small, it does you no good to speak quietly. Also as somebody who acts as a translator of sorts for Ammy (and later on, her missionary) you've gotta be able to be heard. He also loves to boast about his artwork, swordsmanship or handsomeness regardless of how true this is if the opportunity crops up.
He loves all beautiful women, loooves them and will sometimes literally faint at the sight of an exceptionally lovely one. Quite frankly, he's content to lay around in their "melons" if he could. He's a pervert and will sweet talk to them all. But he can't resist a smile on a pretty face, and will do whatever it takes for him to see that smile. There's no point it sitting around doing squat after all!
Despite this, he'll stick by Ammy through thick and thin, and even after their separation he is still dedicated to her and spreading her message across Nippon. He enjoys traveling with her and exploring all sorts of places unless his ass is in trouble. He's also fairly people friendly as long as you're a decent person in his eyes.
Oh and don't mistake him for a bug. Even if its unlikely to happen in route as he will be sized up to a man on the short side, don't try to anger him. He's got a short fuse and will threaten you when he's pissed off enough. All while flailing the entire time in fury.
Strengths/Weaknesses:
+ Talented Artist - He brags about how good he is, and he can walk the talk. He's probably one of the most talented artists in the game. His artwork assisted him in restoring Nippon's faith in Ammy, ultimately allowing her to defeat the big bad.
+ Has some skills in the Celestial Brush Techniques - The Celestial Brush Techniques allow someone to harness a godly power through a few strokes of a brush. Issun is no where near the level of how much Ammy has mastered, but he can use some of techniques. He's mastered Rejuvenation (allowing him to fill in gaps of missing or broken areas) and Bloom (which sprouts flowers from the area where it is drawn) but its currently unknown what else he can use. Not like its going to matter in Route anyway~
+ Swordsmanship - He's not a expert swordsman like he boasts about sometimes, but he can do decently while wielding one.
+ Charisma - While being tactless and rude Issun at the same time has the ability to reassure and encourage people to believe in the power of the gods. An essential trait for any Celestial Envoy.
+ Understanding animals - As a Poncle he can understand some animals and acts as Ammy's voice. In route he not be able to understand Pokemon however.
+ Loyal - Even with his mental and physical shortcomings, he'll never let a good friend- or a pretty woman down
- Temper - As stated above, he's quick to get in a fuss especially if you press his berserk buttons. Without Ammy holding him back, he may get into trouble with this flaw.
- Not much of a fighter - It's Ammy's job to do the fighting, so the best he might be able to do is to hold his own for a short period of time.
- Women - He will do anything for women to ensure their happiness. Unless its dangerous from his point of view, then he might need some encouragement. But still, he could be persuaded into becoming a pawn for them in the wrong hands. On the flip side, he's not accustomed to being within range of a smack as a consequence of his perverted remarks.

[Issun clicks on the Pokegear abruptly, and one can see him mashing buttons. Text appears on the screen in a jumbled up mess]
Hello? Does the green light mean its working? I sure hope it does! Anybody know how to work one of these fancy gizmos? Just what is this thing? Why is nobody answering my questions?! Geez. [He wrinkles his face] It's worse then having to teach furball new tricks! I am a Celestial Envoy for god's sake! I can't just go dillydallying around!
Third Person Sample:
Man this sucked.
"What's the point of being so tall if there wasn't any pretty girls that were finally the appropriate size for a handsome man like him?" Issun raged internally. He didn't like how he was ushered off by somebody claiming to be his mother off on some Pokemon journey. He had no time for this nonsense! He had believers to influence in all of Nippon damn it!
Hey! Perhaps there would be people who could pray and believe in the gods here. Surely not all of them are blind idiots back in New Bark Town. Traveling would be a breeze in his new size now!
Now after settling on a nice grassy patch away from what ever animals would bother him, he sifted through his pack given to him. It had some food, some useless dodads that was of no use to him- wait! Was that his work in progress scrolls inside? Hallelujah, the gods around here must have presented him with another gift. Now he could at least finish up on his next masterpiece oh ho ho~
As he held his Denkomaru in hand, he couldn't help but still be a little peeved at how the blade that slew many demons is now nothing but a normal end found at any brush. How's he supposed to defend himself? He certainly wouldn't trust that... Pokemon animal entrusted to him. He was no warrior, no where skilled for sparing. Bah, he could just reforge another weapon out of wood.
He drew up the rough outline needed for the scrolls, being quiet for once. After all, like he had been taught in the past, it does no good to be hasty with his mastered art. But while he focused on his trade, Issun paid no attention to the pokeball that was seated in the pockets of his sack and began to wiggle from side to side. Finally it emerged from its cage, and the bipedel dog holding its tail greeted him.
"Smeargle!" It cried out.
"Huh?" Issun turned his head about fifteen degrees. "Whatddya want? Aren't you supposed to stay in there?" At least that is what one lovely lady told him over that gizmo.
"Smear..." The pokemon lower his head in shame but saw the unfinished artwork that Issun had already spent hours on and widened those already large eyes. As if to provide some sort of a visual clue to what was on its mind, it dipped its tail to point towards the scroll. But the paint leaking from its tail dipped a small drop of paint on the corner.
When Issun saw that paint screw up his latest masterpiece, he was furious. "You dumb animal! What are you doing? Don't ever mess with the great Issun's artwork! Get away from it!" He bitched on the pokemon misfortune enough to press his buttons.
