I seen in the comments at fake_lj_deaths. Some of the members are getting sick of the fake pregnancies and people lying about their lives. Well, Send em here! That's what this community was for! We need the better members that are willing to root out the fakes, because frankly, all the fake cancer stories and deaths that I have witnessed on the web I have

_fake_ljers isn't mine. I don't know who mods it, except from the userinfo and that's jerseykat? I opened this last fall because I thought I could be a good faker sniffer outer, but I'm nothing compared to what I've seen at fake_lj_deaths! I wanted all of the communites to mod together or something, but that doesn't look like it's going to happen.

In all open-ness, I was afraid to post at fake_lj_deaths because I feared people would turn on me and call me the fake, even if they had no reason. It's happened before. I can post a comment there to the closing of the community, if that's fine with you. There are less members here, and possibly less fakers lurking to see if they've been caught or not.

It's fine to add the announcement. I remember asking if you or againsthestream (hope that doesn't bad tag. heh) wanted to help admin here. I'll admit I can't really detect fake pregnancies, but I can tell with some heart and blood procedures. And probably anything that relates to geratrics.

I don't mean to be complaining, but from the information you have on the front page, it seems like this community is for people who keep a fake journal to post in, not for people to expose fakes.

If you don't mind a respectful suggestion, I think it would make things more clear if you'd say this is a community dedicated to exposing those who lie on LJ and keep fake journals, and by doing so, exposing their friends to needless pain, worry, and heartache.

I know I've gotten upset and worried over some story I've been told about someone I met online only to have it prove to be false.

Just for the record, I'm perfectly healthy, that I know of. I have a rotten cold, but it's just your common garden variety cold and will, hopefully, be gone in a few days.
