the Walkmen are amazing. see them live, you'll never regret it.
and Sloan is a Canadian band from Halifax (that's in Nova Scotia), who've been around since I was just a wee, impressionable teenager. Twice Removed is their second album, it came out when I was 16. I love it the most and still know the words to all of the songs and am completely unembarassed about singing along.

You should never feel embarrassed about singing along to Sloan! Some of my favorite parts of the Four Nights at the Palais Royale live album are the fan participation bits, where it's just the crowd singing.

Aw, I hate that they suck now, but I really want them to tour again!!

haha, yeah. i haven't seen them in years, but the last time i did see them was with my brother in a town way up north and he was laughing at me the entire time because i was singing along and chanting "slooo-ooaann" and he'd never seen me be such a goof.

it was between bad moon rising and evol. i'm actually not sure why i picked that one.

anyway, i'm actually thinking leisure might have been a better representation, but the great escape is good too.
