as always the toronto media only tells half the story. the "snowmageddon" term originated from a special weather statement by environment canada and was in reference to the fact that we're being hit by three (which may even be four now) snow storms within the span of less than a week, and that the total snowfall from the three storms could potentially be half a winter's snowfall which is significant. that being said, i definitely agree that that it was a bit of an overexaggeration :p

hehe, yeah, I knew about environment canada being the ones to disseminate the term.
Actually, in general, I find the language in their weather warnings to be pretty funny. I just found it annoying that the mass media picked up the term and continued to run with it -- and will probably keep running with it, since the next round is on it's way.
