Summary: Producing a television show is no easy feat, but it's fulfilling work-- until a strange presence begins to break everything down.
Author's Note: Woo, big delay. I hate my job right now like whoa. Anyway, for this part, I decided to get a little... uh... creative? Several small images below the cut.

subject: Studio incident
TO BE POSTED
Operations would like to commend The Colbert Report staff for their excellent handling of the in-studio incident last Thursday. It was a terrible and unforeseen accident, but swift and effective action was taken to ensure the audience's well-being.
Unfortunately many audience members were injured. Comedy Central is taking full responsibility for their medical treatment in regards to this incident. No injuries were fatal, and none appear permanently disabling at this time.
An investigation is underway in regards to how this accident occurred, whether from facilities neglect or poor constitution of the seating. We ask that all staff be patient and forthcoming in regards to questions from the appropriate authorities.
An inspector evaluated the building on Saturday afternoon and found that it passed all building regulations. Nevertheless, all studio activity will be suspended until further notice.
All staff are advised not to comment on the incident to the press or any other individuals/organizations not affiliated with our investigation of the matter.
Thank you for your cooperation.

Um, nice to see you guys speculate the shit out of this in a 27-page thread in like two hours. Forgive me for starting another one.
I'm not sure where to start. I'll skip all the usual bull, I guess.
My brother and I didn't get first in line like I wanted, so we were in the second row on the right bank of bleachers, across from the interview table. I mean, everything seemed fine. I didn't hear a lot of ominous creaking or anything. The comedian guy did his thing, and Stephen came out and we flipped as usual, even though the show has blown ever since that poor intern. I was really hoping tonight would turn things around...
So Stephen answered questions I have no hope of remembering now (none of them had to do with the ghost rumor), then ran over to his desk to start the taping. We started applauding at the paper-twirling like we were told, and Stephen starts pointing from camera to camera, doing the table of contents.
At one of the points, Stephen said something like, “And tonight's guest wants America to be more mindful of energy consumption. How about I punch his lights out?”
And then the lights went out. And we all laughed because, well, it was supposed to be funny, right? And they never did anything like that at the table of contents before, and I was thinking hey, the show is really getting back on its feet.
But the crew started yelling to each other, some of them sounding real pissed off, asking what happened. And we got quiet real quick. It more awkward than it should have been honestly, that's how angry these people sounded.
So they're bitching for a minute, and that's when I heard the noise. It was this loud metal noise, like when you're swinging and the chains creak, only really loud. And then there was this huge CRASH and people screaming. It's so undramatic typed out just like that, but I really have a hard time even thinking about it. I was freaking scared because it was still dark and no one knew what was going on and all this screaming on the other side of the studio. I grabbed my brother's arm, and I could hear Stephen yelling but I don't know what. I just remember the lights glaring on again, and I look over to the left and the other bleachers had fallen. They'd fucking collapsed.
I saw people on top of people and metal on top of people and I realized that it wasn't just the bleachers that had fallen, but a bunch of lights and monitors. I didn't even know what to do. I could only sit there and stare at these screaming people. My brother had to pry himself out of my deathgrip and he ran over to help. He lugged one of those TVs off some guy's stomach. I don't even know how it got over there. The guy was siting in the middle of the stands.
I wish I'd helped, but I was shocked and shaking. But lots of people were helping anyway, from the audience and the staff.
That's all there is, really. They rushed everyone who wasn't hurt outside. They didn't tell us to go home, the cops did that later. We talked to the cops a little bit but I really just wanted to get home. I hope all those people are okay.
It was awful.
