There's two buttons on the side of the library mouse, one makes the page go back, the other forward. In the course of writing here I've only managed to hit the back button twice and lose everything. I'm in a library and I guess screaming out "Fuck" would be inappropriate ( Read more... )

Leicester has a student population of something like 25,000 during term time. Each student is probably spending about £3000 each on housing, £3000 on tuition fees, and £3000-£4000 each on living expenses, going out and food per year. So a conservative esitmate is that each student pumps at least £10,000 each into the city per year. So whats that.... 250 million pounds per year.... This money goes towards paying for said binmens wages, doll money for drunks at the bars, and the general improvments of our city in various important areas. If Mr bin man would like to be unemployed and not be able to get doll money, then he can be my guest. Otherwise he should shut up and think out side the box, and where all this money is coming from. The idiot.

Although some of the students these days do seem really dorky. I've noticec them at the bars I go to.

It is a substancial amount of money isn't it? I think Leicester's population is 12% students or somewhere around that mark. That probably includes colleges aswell.

I do wonder how some people don't think outside the box. Yet perhaps they have it more easy, depending on their lifestyle, perhaps just getting by is good enough for them. You never know, there might be a degree in litter picking.

We're not all dorky! surely real dorks wouldn't be out in bars? they have to stay stereotyped!

It does annoy me when I have to wait an hour or so for a table to become available at the pub I went to last night. There were so many students in there it's hard to find anywhere to sit, and I usually get a seat straight away.

We'll see how it goes tonight....
