I find it a bit scary how Putin decideds to pull out of the NATO - Warsaw Pact treaty agreed in 1990 at the end of the Cold War. What I find scary is the timing, as soon as Yeltsin is dead. It's a bit worrying really because democracy has never really stood a chance in Russia since the Cold War ended, in the sense that it hasn't fully shown itself
