Without going into justifying or condemning the war in Iraq, I am disgusted with the treatment of Iraqi prisoners. I brought this up with the pharmacist, and he replies with "it's no different than what frat boys routinely do to each other." Hmm, I don't think you can dismiss human rights violations by pointing out the latent homosexual tendencies

I guess that does read as if I think CA people are smarter, which is not necessarily true. I just really want to go back despite which state has smarter people in it.

yeah, professor guy mentioned in an email that saddam's guards used to treat people much worse than the ami soldiers treated the iraqi prisoners, but that is so not a justification. and there is no good excuse that i can see. is it true that some american was then beheaded on arabic television? what a mess... literally and figuratively...
