I'm working on moving to SF by July...and barely managing. I had to submit a research proposal by 5pm. The professor supervising the research, hopefully, faxed it in on time. Anyway, I've been told it's not too difficult to get in, since most people would rather live it up in the last few months before medical school. It'll probably work out, and I ( Read more... )

Yes, we must hang out. Are you thinking of any area in particular? Before you cast off SF as too expensive...let me just say it's slightly cheaper in LA at the moment. I don't really know if that holds true for consumables, but I will find out soon. I'm moving in at the end of the month with two 3rd year medical students. Seem pretty nice...we'll see. Finally my own room!!!!!

why should i NOT cast off SF as too expensive if it is more expensive than LA?? in any case i have not cast it off. i guess i have not decided yet which part i would live in - but i am thinking of either SF or the east bay, like oakland or berkeley. i have a friend in each of these places besides you, and they have said i can crash there for a short time while finding a place if i want. i would probably want to do some more job investigation before getting a place, but i dunno. this is all just a possibility anyway, i may not even move there anytime soon. but it is on my mind.

where exactly is your place? yay for having your own room. are your roommates all girls? how did you find it?

oops..I meant "slightly cheaper THAN LA at the moment." Anyway, I will be living in an area called the inner sunset which is near golden gate park and the Haight/Ashbury area. It's supposedly the foggiest part of town, too. I think I will like it, though. I found it on a message board for UCSF medical students.
