STUFF:
oh man i have done so much shopping this week. but now i am well-supplied with warm clothes for the coming cold. everyone has been telling me i look adorable, which is good for my ego. i know it's shallow, but i love clothes; buying, making, and altering clothes is something i very much enjoy. today, for instance, i added black elastic straps to my new black flats because i have a tendency to trip unless my shoes are firmly fastened to my feet. I'M A DORK.
i actually have a lot of little projects to do! i've got the postcards, and i am also working on knitting some leg warmers. my mother, who is can knit anything, is making me some that are cable-knit (in this awesomely pukey green color). alas for some reason i am unable to purl at the moment; i used to have awesome skillZ but i haven't done any knitting in a long time and i've forgotten everything.
the weather is lovely; it will be seventy-five tomorrow and pushing eighty on monday. thereafter the temperature will drop sharply, but i am pretending that the warmth will stay forever. I FUCKING HATE COLD WEATHER, i really am a southerner despite these years trapped here in the north. honestly, there are no words for how much i hate being cold. it hurts. it is an affront to my being. i always have a marked personality change as the light changes and cools down. seasonal affective disorder sucks.

i have been reading the seventh harry potter book. i read it the first time in four days--about three days longer than usual, i was trying to take my time! it hurt so much that it was over that i didn't want to read it again right away, not until i was ready to face the fact that there weren't ever going to be anymore. i am enjoying it a lot more, and i keep having all these Deep Realizations.
