I'm sorry to hear about a personal crisis. I'll send positive thoughts your way. It sucks that canon is interrring with your muse. Maybe a break is just what you need. Clear your head and get away form this mess for a while.

Well, actually it's more of a career crisis but it's causing me a fair bit of stress and anxiety right now.

It sucks that canon is interrring with your muse.

Yeah, just when I was saying I wasn't gonna let that happen! *rolls eyes* It was the Alex thing that put me in a funk. Like zelda said it just messes with your principles.

Well good luck in both cases. I understand the principles thing. It will be a challenge to write Janie's story under these new circumstances but I will give it a try next week, once I'm done some academic projects. Try to have a good weekend!

I'll be interested to see what you write. I think I will write a Alex entering the afterlife fic sometime, just because I have a strong idea for it. But it will be a very serious fic, not crack.

That completely sucks but I get where you come from here. Take your time (and a break) which will hopefully sort stuff out, that was something that threw me way off too. And we totally enjoyed these three, so not all is bad.

About the text, I don't have problems with it here and it looks okay but sometimes it happens when I post in Rich Text. Which is why I post everything with the HTML these days, it's safer.

Things are too angsty in real life for me too cope with angst in fics. I hope after a break I can do something for one of your fanons. I actually started TWO fics! One using blueshirt verse, which I liked but...I don't like going to the Looking Glass. The other was an Alex fic using 'Dead but also here'. I felt so bad for Alex I wanted to see her getting some much needed comfort in your beach afterlife from her mother, boyfriend and two undead pretties. But even with all that support it's hard to make it better for her. BTW, if I do get around to finishing either one of these, which would you prefer?

Ah...I'll check the text. I've never had this problem before, but I remember fics of yours sometimes had disappearing text. Not anymore though.

You're totally right about that. I mean, when RL is angst for me I usually go and write crack (Craphole Heaven was written in the worst day I had in the last six months) but with such an issue crack wouldn't be advisable.

The Dead etc. one looks like a delightful plot though. She'd totally need that, poor girl. Now that's a good question. I'd love to see either concept thought I'm probably more involved with the dead people verse. If it helped with the Alex issues maybe it could get cathartic and I guess that the looking glass is not a happy place. I'd say go with the one you're more comfortable with, I'm slightly partial to the dead people because of the issues we all know but it's really alright either way.

That text thing is damn weird. *kicks LJ* HTML should solve the problem though.

I think The Dead one is the stronger idea. I think Boone and Charlie would be good councillors for Alex. They had horrible deaths too, but they managed to be brave so maybe they could give her strength. I'll definitely keep the idea in mind. I love blueshirt, but the Looking Glass setting his putting me off.

Have a nice holiday!

I thought Alex's death was horrible but I was more disgusted than sad.

Yeah, that's how I felt too. Alex was not one of my favourites at all, but her death was wretched. I think it'll be easier to retreat into Fanonland when S4 is over. I wrote loads in the hiatus when the show just pissed off.

Just need to get RL sorted out. Don't worry I'll be around. Catch you later!

Finally got around to reading and enjoyed these very much. I'm a bit of a sucker for Charlie/Sawyer--even (especially?) platonic, so I especially enjoyed Sawyer sharing his victory with Charlie.

Sorry that real life is being real and hope that all goes well as you dig yourself out of whatever. I certainly understand both the fics on hold feeling and the canon isn't worth following feeling. I'm about to go see if the transcript of last episode is up at lostpedia, since what I'm reading about the episode is not happy and my computer crashed when I tried to watch it. (It is getting more RAM this week--enough with the four-times-a-night freezes.) Good luck, and here's to a lovely Spring!

Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed these, even though I think I killed you OTP (Charlie/Guitar right?). I liked that little squishy moment with Charlie and Sawyer too.

RL has been better since the weekend and I'm just trying not to let canon nettle me. Maybe a time will come when Darlton finally decide that they have shot enough women.
