Hi Mark. Good job on keeping track of all the results during the year. It must keep you entertained for quite a few hours! You might have to recalculate the Racing Car points from during the year though. Formula Ford 1600 cars are also Category 1 Racing Cars, and eligible for points in the Racing Car and also the Formula Ford Championships. Keep up the good work, and we'll see you at the track next year. Brett F

Removing Formula Ford 1600 (Kent) cars from the Racing Car points was a specific rule change for 2010, along with removing Production Sports Cars from Sports Car points. The specific aim was to ensure drivers could not compete for two championships in the same car and race ( ... )

The Sports Car boys had it worse. It effectively deleted their championship as they had respectively 1, 1, 1 and 3 entries for their championship all year. A shame for Steve Morcombe perhaps, but it's slightly ridiculous, and a little unsafe putting Steve and the Chiron into the same pointscore as Mazda MX5s and MG Bs.
