With flood waters abating we were finally able to have family Christmas, albeit at Towoomba as the direct road Warwick-Brisbane was still cut. The occasion was held on December 30. Had a big feed at the Toowoomba City Golf Club and unwrapped presents afterwards in the Golf Club lounge room. And newsy891's presents arrived in the mail on December 27 so we ( Read more... )

Those are the sorts of mailing delays that, a few years back, had us ignoring Christmas and instead celebrating "International Unwrapping Day" :)

Dad will figure out the book when he summons up childhood memories and remembers what this "win....ter" thing is. And when you all give in and get used to coexisting with an American dialect. ;)
