Queensland Racing Season Begins - Updated!

The first club level race meeting of the year took place yesterday at Lakeside and those attending saw some truly fabulous racing across most categories. Kudos to the drivers, (particularly the 250cc Superkart drivers who have to wear leather race suits instead of the cloth suits) for racing in the 38 degree temperatures at the track ( Read more... )

It's ages before we get out again... Media day is March 8th, but the first race meeting isn't until mid-April.

It's the price we pay for hot summers and very mild winters. Cannot remember the last time an Australian circuit was closed by snow. It's happenned... but decades ago...

It's great to be back out at Lakeside. Emergency Management Team are a great bunch. i can not speak more highly of them, their knowledge and experience in motor sport and medicine
