I think humans have a need for retribution because we expect so much of life to go in our favor. If something "bad" happens, we expect something good to happen that counteracts it because "we deserve it" ... I'm beginning to disagree with this mentality

Just roll your windows up and yell as loud as you can. That always calms me down in a hurry (and makes me talk like the Godfather in meetings at work).
