Bronx had waited for this day for weeks making sure that Mommy and Daddy didn’t see the Valentines he had worked on to make sure all of them were special and that his printing was perfect. He hopped off his race car bed and scurried over to his special drawer and pulled out all 5 valentines he had hidden in there, stuffed them into his pants and ran into the kitchen. As he slid across the floor he grabbed Daddy’s Mr. Bubbles PJs so he wouldn’t fall and then wrapped his tiny pale arms around his Daddy’s waste. “Morning Daddy, Happy Valentine’s Day!”
Pete leaned down and picked up his little man and kissed his forehead, “Morning B-Box! Happy Valentine’s Day to you too!”
“Here Daddy I made you a valentine” Pete squinted at the scribble on the heart shaped paper thinking he could kinda make out the word Daddy and Bronx but maybe not. Ashlee then walked into the kitchen and Bronx squirmed out of Daddy’s arms and ran over to Mommy pulling out the valentine and handed it to her, she kissed him on the head and telling him to go get ready for Uncle Patrick. Bronx ran into Hemmy on the way to the bedroom and held out the card to the dog that promptly sneezed and began to walk away so Bronx stuck the card in Hemmy’s Collar. When Bronx returned to his room Rigby was on his bed looking at him all big eyed and sad so Bronx went to give her a hug and her card. Rigby ran out of the room with the card probably to bury it in the backyard.
Finally the door bell rang and there was Uncle Patrick holding a stuffed teddy and wearing his usual smile. Bronx ran up and gave him a hug, “Happy Valentine’s day Unci Patrick! I made you a valentine”
“I’ll trade you then Bronxasurus you can have one teddy for one paper heart”
“okay Unci Patrick” and Bronx smiled at the thought of how he again always came out ahead and that he got to spend the day with his favourite person.
