Summary: It was Pete Wentz’s first day at Sunshine Day Care and he just had to find a way out
Disclaimer: I don’t own Fall Out Boy, If I did I wouldn’t be writing fic. This never happened; it’s a lie and possibly the side effect of staying up too late and watching Rugrats.

It was Pete Wentz’s first day at the day care his parents Dale and Peter had just dropped him off. He was short even for a baby, with 6 hairs on his head all swept into a swoosh over his forehead, his favourite blue shirt and just a diaper since he hated pants. Looking out from the bars of the playpen he knew he had t get out of this place, it was bright and cheerful plus the bobbing clown the other kids were hitting looked scary. He was contemplating his escape when he felt a tap on his shoulder, turning around he saw this flaming orange hair that stood straight up as he lower his eyes he noticed the boy in front of him was wearing thick purple glasses over top a very freckled nose, a blue t-shirt and paisley shorts.

“Hi, my parents say my name is Patrick. What do they call you?”

Pete looked up at this space alien looking child and shuddered “I-I-I’m told my name is Pete”

“You’re new right; I mean of course you are. Wanna meet the others”

“others?”

“yeah, Andrew and Joseph”

Pete slowly stood on his bowlegged legs and turned to see twins. Joe was the taller of the two but not by much and had on a green shirt and blue shorts and a budding fro, however Pete was taken aback by the fact that Andrew was wearing a dress and had long hair that was pinned back with bows. Andy was used to the stares by now and even though he was so totally a dude his mom liked to dress him in dressie so she could tell him and Joe apart; which was fine by him since they were flowing and breathable and didn’t rub on his legs.

“hi, welcome to thunthine day care, I’m Jotheph but call me Joe” Joe said happily with a lisp

“Andy” Andy said without looking up from his coloring book where he was coloring a llama

Pete knew from looking at these three that they would make great allies in this escaping business he had up his sleeve and came right out with it. “doesn’t this place bother you guys, I mean it’s so bright”

“now that you mention it that clown over there likes to watch me, and it’s scary Pete” Patrick whined

“I jutht want out of here” Joe said

“and they don’t have soy milk” Andy declared

“let’s escape then” Pete said looking and the group

“but howse we gonna do that?” Patrick wondered

“by getting out of this playpen and out the door”

“I’m scared Pete, really scareded”

“oh thop being thucha baby, Patrick Martin Thumph”

“so long as I get my soy milk”

The group had to wait till after snack time and for nap time before they could make their break for it.

They slowly rose from where they were napping and Pete pulled a screwdriver out of his diaper and flipped the latch of the playpen open and began to lead the group on the crazy journey through the day care.

They waddled over to the big scary block throwing range.

“I don’t think this is sucha good idea Pete”

“I’m telling you Patrick there is no reason to be afraid of the blocks their just foam”

“Pete there’s one thing you need to know about me I’m ascared of everything”

“everything? Even oatmeal” Joe asked

“ecspecsilly oatmeal”

“Patrick there is no reason to fear oatmeal”

“well not really the oatmeal, it’s the guy on the box with the scary hat!”

“yeah he’s scary” Andy agreed

“Guys we need to go through this block zone so we can escape” Pete firmed stated, “I’ll even hold your hand Patrick”

Patrick blushed and held one hand out to Pete as he covered his eyes with the other.

They went through the block area ducking as the brightly colored blocks flew over their heads and at them.

“duck their coming” Andy said

“who?” Pete asked

“them” Andy said pointing up to the scary grown up in the white outfits

“so we gots to avoids them when we makes our escape, right?”

“right” Joe confirmed

Pete looked around the room and noticed that the door was locked from the inside and they would need a key to get it open as well as a way to get up to the door handle.

“I need your guys help, can one of yous build a platform out of something and we’ll needa key”

“I uthually builds the thuff in the group” Joe said happily

“and I can make us a key to fit the look from the play dough” Andy said

Patrick just looked around and said “I sure hope we don’t get caught. It’s always bad news for the kids who get caught”

“we’ll get out just think of what’s waiting for you outside” Pete said

“I can finally nap in my own crib” Joe Replied

“there’s a soy milk bottle with my name on” Andy sighed

“and I have a lady waiting for me back home; I call her mom” Patrick smiled

“so then let’s bust outta here” Pete cheered

Andy molded the key as Joe built them a platform from the older kids wooden blocks, while Pete and Patrick acted like they were busy amusing themselves with a ball bouncing it back and forth. Finally it was all ready blocks had been moved to the door, key stuffed in Pete’s diaper; there was one thing missing a distraction.

“Patrick can you distract them long enough for me to get the key in the door?”

“Hey, I’m not a cry baby; I’m the cry baby” Patrick smiled but quickly turned to the corner of the room and sat down. Once he saw Pete was in place he started screaming like there was no tomorrow.

Pete quickly ambled up the steps Joe had built and reached up to stick the key in the door, just as he got the key in the door opened and there stood his mom.

“Did you have a good day at day care?”

Pete wrapped his arms around his mom’s neck and snuggled in as they walked out there, followed by the other parents.

Pete waved goodbye to his new found friends from his car seat, and hoped that tomorrow he would return to hang with them again; I mean day care isn’t so bad when you have friends like that.
