You know, sometimes I read things like this, and I become enormously self-conscious, wondering if all this thinking I do is just superficial, 'cause I certainly wouldn't ever write something like this. I don't mean "wouldn't" as in it's all too self-satisfying and sucks, because it doesn't at all. Rather, I think it is wonderful and I want to know why I don't think in metaphors, too.

Also, unless I'm creating facts in my mind, you work at the Enzian, right? 'Cause my friend and I are in want of answers as to what happened to the Spinach Dip.

thank you! sometimes i think i'm a little crazy for trying to explain everything through metaphors. i guess i see people not as people but as what i think they represent -- mountains, islands, wounded animals, locusts, etc. they make more sense to me that way, as does everything else.

i loved in your journal where you wrote about describing things in exactly 100 words. i've thought about that a lot.

haha i do work at enzian. i'll have to ask josh (the chef) what happened to the spinach dip!

I'm really glad you told me that. I thought it was a pointless exercise up until now. But you'd think that after 21 years, I'd learn that few things are actually pointless. (And the coffeehouse I was talking about was Austins, which is only a hop and a skip and not even a jump from Enzian, so I'm sure you know it.)

On another note, what side of town do you live in? I just moved back from Gainesville and am here indefinitely. It also seems that I lost the better majority of my social circle that I had from high school (not that I'm totally upset about this), but I may hassle you to go to a show or do something (I swear I'm slowly entering hermit-mode) at some point. If that's alright, of course!

austins is great! i used to hang out there all the time.

i live in winter springs, but i spend most of my time in maitland/winter park/downtown. i'd love to hang out! do you like dancing? some of my friends and i might be going downtown friday, and it would be awesome if you could join us.
