I went out to feed this morning (or rather, to re-feed since Richard had trouble getting the hay. It was frozen) and I found her in the barn. She had died during the night. *sigh ( Read more... )

To you and Richard. Death may be a natural part of life, but it's difficult to reconcile that with the feeling of missing the one who is gone.

I will have them home tonight, I have not told tham yet.
was not sure if it would be a good idea, but i will be there tonight.

I don't think this will come as too much of a shock. R and I had talked before about how old she was, and I had even mentioned what the vet said about a possible tumor. At school his class rats recently died from breast cancer. Their tumors were so large their feet wouldn't touch the ground. His teacher told me that he was on "Death Watch"- any time one was sleeping he was convinced it was dead ( ... )

sounds good, I will be prepaired for games, and will hold off on telling him about the goat. I supose we can tell him tonight.
