So, I decided I'm not doing parties anymore at Stolen Hours. I have fun, but the majority of players seem to act as though I'm only inconveniencing them. Of the feedback I've gotten, most people would rather chase ST plot

For what it's worth, I always love your parties, IC and OOC. ST plot is fun, but PC plot is fun, too. Especially because you put so much work into it, with props and everything, and I for one really appreciate it.
I didn't mean to sound all emo about it. I think it's just the mood of the game right now. I think it goes through phases when people want to chase ST plot and when people are more interested in PC social interactions. Right now, I think we are in a ST plot phase. There's nothing wrong with that, but I'm just going to back off trying to do parties until the mood shifts.
The plus side of not doing the parties at SH is that I can use my ideas toward the event game without worrying about things being overly redundant for the locals.
For what it's worth... Jon always finds your parties well thought out and amusing. Sitting and people-watching with a PC who was "party people" would be fun.
Sadly, Bear's not party people. If I were running a PC who had the slightest interest, they'd be paying a LOT more attention.
Eh, at this point I feel like Rachel knows it happens every year and has gone to it. I don't think it would be at all out of place to contact someone in Atlanta (like Lily) and say "Hey, I really enjoyed going to your event last year and was interested in helping out this year."
Well, it would be more like "I really enjoyed hosting some of the stuff last year, and I was wondering if you wanted me to just put it together from the start this time rather than picking up the dropped ball last minute." But I need to find a way that doesn't make me sound like a bitch.
I didn't actually get to go to anything other PC's had planned because I was in other scenes at the time. I didn't hear squat about them IC, although I know other people had fun with them OOC.
Of course, with crazy plot happening with my PC now, Rachel might not even be around for the Event. She might be out trying to collect all the Dragon-balls :-P
