I'm quitting my job. I hardly have time to breathe. And I know it looks like I have a lot of time because of all the stuff on here but time after 9PM doesn't count because the lab is closed then, as is the store. And the time that work is eating up is the time that I need to be printing/shooting ( Read more... )

No idea either. I was released from one job, and then the other ended because I had it through the school and I transferred colleges.

Um, walk in, say, "Duuuuuude, I am so done with all of you, k, bye now" and walk out? ;)

I'm thinking of just not showing up this weekend, honestly. I mean, I wasn't on the schedule and they said "well, call to see when you're working friday and saturday" and honestly, if I'm not on the schedule at the beginning of the week, then "when I'm working" is "never."

And the same is sort of true for me. I took a leave from one job and then was like "ok, I'm going to college now." and the other ended when the school year did and I just didn't reapply the next year.

At my last job I flipped out on my boss, told him he was the worst thing that ever happened to me, bawled my eyes out in front of him and the HR department, and wrote a tear-covered resignation letter explaining that I no longer felt capable of performing my job functions.

I do not suggest this method.

hah. I WILL take that advice. I'm thinking of either (like I said above) just not showing up this weekend and seeing where that takes me or explaining that my mental health isn't as good as I thought it was and I really need the time that would be devoted to working to relax so that I do not have any anxiety attacks this semester.

last job i had to quit, i also flipped out and told the "manager" above me that she was a vapid bitch that had no reason to be such an asshole to me other than that she was a foot shorter than me. also, i pointed out to her that most of the time when she was bad mouthing me to other coworkers, she was pushing the button on her walkie talkie and i could hear everything and was filing a complaint. also filing a complaint about her refusing to give me a paycheck. and making fun of a medical condition, and i sealed the deal with "if you tell me to check myself one more time i'm going to check my foot into your ass." :D

i only left one of my many jobs nicely, and i basically just said to my boss, look, i love this place to death and you have been such an awesome boss/person to me in general i just don't have the time blah blah blah and there were no hard feelings and i still visited all the time.

oh damn. that is some drama.

I don't have any hard feeling and it really is a time management thing, but I JUST transfered to this location from florida and I'll feel like such an ass for quitting after working for 3 days. it's like "really? REALLY?" bleh.

Just give two weeks notice.

You don't really have to write a letter of resignation.

Honestly, talk to your manager and put in your two week notice. It's not the end of the world and if they ask then just explain that school is much more time than you thought it was. You absolutely do not want to leave in a dramatic, or just bad, way. In the end, since you're a transfer you want to be eligible for rehire if need be and all that good stuff.
