I just got, in the mail, my title. To my car. I paid off my loan a year early, as planned. Then I waited for weeks to get my title. Last time I checked, they said they had sent it to Hamilton County (which is where Cincinnati is) so I was kind of anxious, but they sent it to the BMV down there, who then cancelled the lien, and sent me the title. I

Doesn't that feel good? My ex husband and I had a few shared expenses like that; cars got handled well but he kept the house (I didn't want it) but my name was still attached to the mortgage so he didn't have to refinance. It was going fine; never asked me for help etc but then he took a short sale on it. My credit took a 50pt hit. :( But, I figure 50pts is worth it, because at that point, he and I never had to talk again, and all the ties were broken. It was very liberating.
