Since I'm rather fond of irony...

it made me chuckle earlier when I was reading in my book, "An ironic person does not commit suicide."

When she died
I should have cried
To save myself some pain
She left me, incomplete
all alone
The memories still remain...

The SMITHS covered that song?

A dreaded sunny day
so let's go where we're wanted
and I meet you at the cemetery gates
Keats and Yeats are on your side
but you lose because Wilde is on mine

I think you're thinking of another song because The Smiths wrote the original of the one I'm singing... and I fucked up on the spelling. It's Cemetry Gates.

No, what had me confused was that Pantera also sings a song called Cemetry Gates. Seemed like an odd thing for the Smiths to cover.

Oh yeah...your book made me remember my favorite Picasso quote (although the man was incredibly vain, he was also equally intelligent):

"Art is the lie that makes us realize the truth."

At least, I think that's how it goes. Anyway, that book looked cool...and I'm glad you're writing that poem...

By the way...have you ever read 'The Picture of Dorian Gray'?
