This short passage is from the closing text of the first hour when the sun god addresses the gods of the first hour.
I think this passage is referring to something central in AE thought. It seems to point to how the sun god goes into the underworld at night to merge with Osiris who is just another aspect of the god (that is why he says 'greet myself'). When the sun god brings Osiris to life he also is renewed and able to be reborn young again at dawn. And Ra bringing life to the god in the underworld, Osiris, that continues the eternal process of agricultural rebirth where the dead soil brings the seeds to life, and the inundation of the nile guarantees life for all of Egypt.
