i was driving through an intersection where i had a green light and i glanced over to my left and this red dodge intrepid was just speeding toward me. first reaction: shit this is NOT happening. second reaction: must honk horn so she gets out of the way. third reaction: i need to MOVE

I saw you driving that day before you say this happened, hey it happens, its something you half to deal with, I've been in my share of accidents and they scare the hell out of you, stick it hard to the insurance company to get as much money as you can for your car. Chech kbb and the all private ads in the northwest to get a good price range you want to shoot for. Take your time when you go to buy another car and I promise you will end up with one you will love again. Most of us get attached and it sucks when there gone, but at least you ok because metal can be replaced when other things can't. Good Luck Crystal and stay on top of that insurance company.

whoa, did you really? weeeeird. where did you see me? i definitely will get as much as i can... i know NOTHING about all this or how it works, though, so it's a little annoying. i'm too impatient to have to wait weeks to even found out the value, and then if i disagree with it that'll take even LONGER... and buying a car is NOT easy for me. it's like buying pants, which is the most impossible thing for me to do (seriously. buying pants might even be WORSE than buying a car... i'm too short for pants) and it's very unpleasant.

do you have any suggestions for dealing w/ the whole insurance company thing? cause like i said, i have noooo idea.

haha i've had the car for three years almost. i just didn't use it at school b/c dorm parking was so expensive and it just wasn't necessary. i'd been just driving it when i was home, but i decided i wanted to take it to school this year now that i'm in an apartment (the parking is more expensive but i have more use for it when everything i need isn't in one building).

i saw you called but i was at the doctor's getting checked after the accident so i couldn't pick up. i'll try and call sometime this weekend though when i have free minutes!

Maybe I'm stupid about car insurance, but... it wasn't your fault, right? YOU had the green light. So why would your insurance go up?

And Candace Frank will be selling her Ford Focus sometime soon, so maybe ask her? I'm not sure what year it is, but it's in good shape.

oh, i just meant because it'll be a different car. insurance rates can be higher or lower based on the kind of car. i had a nissan, and if i get, say, a porsche (yeah right - it's just an example, haha) it'd go waaaay higher. obviously i'm not getting a super expensive car, but there's still a chance it would be more, and that would suck.

that's not a bad idea about candace's car, if she does decide to sell it. do you know what year it is?

hey girl. Sorry to hear about your accident. I had almost the same type of accident 2 years ago. Same thing at first it was 50/50 and then somehow they made it so it was all my fault. Basicly it comes down to you being a young driver and her being older. It sucks to have you car totaled. If you need someone to talk to then you can give me a call. I know what it feels like not to want to drive a car or even ride in a car, the constant replaying of the crash can drive you crazy. thanks hun. yeah... it pretty much SUCKS but sloooowly things are getting figured out. i still haven't driven but we'll see how that goes...
