I just read skimmed through all of DGM last weekend* and got the urge to read some Kanda/Allen, and lo! I did find this journal, and yea! I was so lucky. Excellent writing - it's got that rare combination of bittersweetness, sharp characterization, wit, and tasty dialogue that I savor. I liked your essays too (hip hip horray for bothering to reference canon), although yours and sutlers' are the only fics I've read so I haven't got much of a clue about the fandom itself.

The French!DGM story is quite interesting too.

*I confess, I was looking for parts with Kanda in it. I don't understand why there isn't more Kanda in the manga - he came in second and *first* in the character polls. Instead I am treated to numerous pages of Lenalee crying, probably because she's angry at being cast as a weepy maiden when she actually possesses the Boots of Kick Ass.I see you're being sucked into the vortex known as HnG. You're in luck, there are quite a number of excellent HnG writers on LJ. I just got into it this summer and started writing for

HnG, well, I've finished the series some time ago and I like reading fic for it occasionally, but I'll probably never write for the fandom. It's one of my "I like this but I have no new ideas to bring to the table" fandoms.

And in the spirit of reciprocal creepy stalking, I noticed you're kind of nervous about cross-posting from your last post, but dude. You are multi-talented. I liked that fic you posted even though I know absolutely zero about Naruto: your style is very visual and lovely, and your art is amazing. You have nothing to worry about, I promise!
