Oh, beautiful!! The pace, the prose...all were wonderful. The characterization from Posner's pining and Dakin's snottiness, to Scripps after the kiss...all right on. I loved this.

OMG was that worth the wait. One of the best I've read. I've just finished watching Brief Encounter and I had the piano music playing in the back of my head. It was all so wonderfully romantic in a uniquely Scripps/Posner kind of way. The best part was I could actually see it all happening.

This was really, really lovely.
