It's true you know. I've been reading some really great, original Draco-based fan fictions lately, and I just find it so much more interesting to read about than the infamous Golden Trio. I'm so sorry that I haven't replied to your email yet. *sigh* I think we both have our share of venting to do, yes? This weekend has been...horrible, and I've basically locked myself in my room, cursing my friends and my family. So I haven't been online much, even though I really wanted to email you. I'm going to find time this week to do it - science project be damned!
I really agree with a lot of the things you said in this post, though. Even though I'm a total Gryff at heart, I do enjoy reading fics based around characters other than the Golden Trio. And even though H/G is my OTP and my favooorrrittee EVER, I must admit that D/G has this very strange appeal to me, and the decently written fics are definitely worth reading. I read Yunnie's "I Potato You" and I thought it was SO CUTE. It was one of the most creative fics I've ever read, and I found myself thinking, "OH EM GEE I just smiled like an idiot over a D/G fic ( ... )
