Congratulations to the Brigade on another fantastic season. The theme of this years show was, “Time Machine,” based on the 1960’s classic, written by H. G. Wells. The show depicts four different eras, including the Victorian age, the twenties, sixties, the seventies, the eighties, the nineties and the future.
The show opened with a regal fanfare, as an arrival towards royalty. The time machine then takes you to the roaring twenties, with a upbeat swing combo and the Charleston. The feel gradually shifts to the somber feeling of the great depression, with people begging for food and money. Another journey into the time machine reveals the psychedelic age of the sixties, which comes to a crashing holt when president, John F. Kennedy is assassinated. Then the time machine takes you to the techno rush of the eighties, which go as far as the Oklahoma city bombings. After that, the time machine takes one last visit. This time it goes to the future, where no one knows what will happen and the props turn black with mystery.
This year the brigade had a phenomenal season. They performed in more than nine competitions, including the 22nd annual Royal Classic, that was held here at school on October15th. The scores of competition include BLAH BLAH BLAH…
if anyone wants a quote about the season in the paper then leave a comment, it would be much appreciated!!!
