Jenka falls under the category of People Joshua Finds Fun to Talk To. She humoured him in his moment of silliness, when most of the time people tell him off for being silly, so she gets props for that 8) He's noticed her apparent interest in fighting and possibly brawling, and she comes off as a person with very different interests to him (which is probably true haha), so he's not about get between her and a good fight. He wouldn't mind chatting to her more another time, though, as long as she doesn't use those teeth on him.
He has a nickname.causink_troubleDecember 28 2009, 19:51:48 UTC
He was a guy who liked to swim. There was a lake near his old home, and it was the one that he'd jump in, dawn, noon, dusk midnight, it didn't matter the time. He liked swimming.
One day a picture appeared in the newspaper, of a monster in the lake. It turned out to be him instead. Amused someone gave him a nickname, he can't remember who. But it stuck. Even at age 15 in the streets of Shibuya, Ness was a guy who liked to swim.
Joshua is wary of you, Red. He's dealt with other people who aren't afraid to hit him when he gets too annoying (see: Ichigo), but AHHH WHY ARE YOU MANHANDLING ME ALREADY I DIDN'T EVEN SAY ANYTHING (THAT) BAD! sums up his thoughts. He can't tell exactly if Red approves of his relationship or not (though Joshua's leaning towards not), which is... awkward, especially when they're on the same ship. Joshua thinks that if when he messes things up with Ness, Red might not be as forgiving as the others on the Way were, and while he's not happy about that prospect, it's not going to change the way he does things with Ness.
That aside, Joshua is pretty neutral on Red, mostly because Red doesn't seem to be the kind of person Joshua would find entertaining, i.e. easily bullied into flailing or asdf;lkjs, someone who could have their buttons pushed without Joshua getting beaten up on the process, or someone who will wax philosophical with him.
