i haven't updated here in forever. i guess after 5 whole years spent in france, my langage of choice has barely now shifted back to my mother tongue

And I quit cold-turkey when the public smoking ban came into effect here in Montreal at midnight on May 31st. It gets easier with time. I feel so much healthier already...

I know! I never thought I'd see the day... but it's pretty much Canada-wide now. Hasn't been that bad so far, lots of younger types on the road to quitting and lots of older types not giving up the ghost & hudding around doorways, ashing into buckets that the bars have attached to their exteriors!
