I need to finally buy that float charger... I've been afraid to ride around too far since I got stranded in Carbondale.
But, yeah, I gotta get back to it and get my own scooter stories on :)

I'm telling you, I get stopped everywhere I go with people asking me questions and giving me compliments. It's awesome. It's kind of cold right now, but in the spring I intend for us to do some serious scootering!

Here is my advice, as someone who has been riding in the cold and doing pretty well at it:
--go to the hunting department at Wal-Mart and buy yourself a three dollar face mask thing that velcros in the back. You'll look like Hannibal Lector, but it keeps your chin warm under your helmet
--layers work way better than just one heavy coat...I use a windbreaker under a rain jacket
--Long johns are your friend, as are tall socks
--Gloves!!!!!
--A warm scarf or a neck cover of some type are a must
--If you can wear a sock hat under your helmet, do so
I've been scootin' all over the place and doing pretty well. It takes a while to get bundled up, but it's really worth it. Once I've got all my stuff on, I can go without feeling like I'm going to fall off my scooter because I'm frozen solid!
