Diva's Will be Done, & Slingshots Won, at Vickie's as in my Underwear Drawer....

Right. So, weight loss is good. No question. Extra-super-MEGA good, really. And so, by extension, having your once-tight clothes get loose on you is of the good too, even if it means you're dropping trou every time you're running to catch the bus or doing anything vigorous, say, for example, crossing the street or bending down to pick up a ( Read more... )

SHOPPING.

I like shopping. I could go shopping.

Also, this is random, but if you have weird measurements, Fredericks of Hollywood is a good place to get stuff, since's it's totally for ladies with implants (therefore, tiny ribcages and bodacious tatas) They also have tops. My sister-in-law who is tiny with giant boobs swears by them.

Eeeenterestingk! I have always avoided Freddie's for fear of my only options being things that might be worn by the now late Anna Nicole Smith.
But, this is good to be knowing! Thanks!

They do have some of that as well. :-) If I remember correctly, they have sweaters and things as well, which are nice.

I will say that I ADORE the boucle sweaters from Vickie's via catalogue or online. I have several in size L that fit and flatter me nicely, and my friend (another Cat, color-code Black) has the same type, same size, that is similarly handsome on her very different physical person. I'm sure they're made of pixie dust and ritualistic puppy slaughter or something equally satanic and / or mystical, but there is is.

Hey babe, it's Kim.
And yes, I can sympathize with the massive bra collection problem! Warrgh! :)

I know a place that sells the world's most comfortable bras - any type or style you are looking for. They are expensive, but they will find one that is your size and will fit you well - either when you reach your target weight, or if you are interested in looking for something in the meantime. If you're looking for non-expensive undergarments, I would highly suggest going to Frederick's of Hollywood - they're the only mainstream shop that carries bras in my size, and for that matter, any hard-to-find non mainstream sizes (small ribcage, enormous ta-tas, or vice versa, and all the stuff in between). So if you ever want to go shopping for difficult-to-find undergarments, gimme a call - I'll be happy to drive you to the Woburn Mall to try stuff out!

*applaud* that was a massive tale! I enjoyed it most fully. And horray for weight loss!

We could make a shopping excursion, would would make it less drama and more fun - with lots of girls to go around.

On another, silly note - I looked at my shoe/bra collection recently and laughed when I realised that all of my shoes (save one fancy pair), and all but two of my bras are black. I think there's a theme going here...

I have sworn by VS for years, but I similarly have the small ribcage, bodacious rack dichotomy, and the last time I went bra shopping it was frustrating and fruitless. With all these testimonials maybe I'll try FofH.

If you wish to go bra shopping, may be convinced to join you! And if you wish me to apply my needle to your cranky old bra, I am sure I can find something to do with it.
