People are just ignorant to the fact that people in the arts have to do a lot of work as well. I know people in our dance program and music programs have juries their junior year to decide whether or not they can even continue with their program. And their senior year they have a show to decide whether or not they can graduate. If people don't think that's nerve wracking they are clearly crazy. And I'm sure you have to so things that are just as scary.
I mean, yeah engineering is hard. Majoring in math is hard too. But I mean, at least we can think it through, talk it over with others and get an A for getting the right answers. In the arts, you are judged on your talent. That's intense. I fully admire you for doing that.
Don't let those people get to you.
