Why was she there? Addy played with her food on her plate, contemplating leaving. Sure, sitting with the AP Chem class wasn't her ticket to cool or getting asked to dance. Addy knew this. But this was prom. There was part of her that didn't care about being asked. Prom wasn't going to get her into an Ivy League. This was just high school. Prom was just Prom ( ... )

I went stag both years to my prom. The gay Asian kid was actually a Polish mathlete irl. Though I did a lot more dancing than Addy did.

Connor would have been moments away from asking her to dance, I swear! He just had to distract Murphy first, and then that gay asian kid got there first... so... yeah.
