We're going to KI in August, the 24th to the 26th. It would be so awesome if you guys could go! We've got a bunch of people going already, the more the better.

How far away is it? Are you going with family and friends, etc? I know you go there all the time, are the campsites really close to each other. I looked at the website but I am lazy. I am thinking of trying to go camping for my birthday!

Oh, can you drink beer there? Haha, I just haven't really been campsite camping for a long time, and I wasn't sure how regulated this place is. Though it looks like it's not really according to the website (I mean in regards to rangers, etc). Though I am, of course, of legal drinking age and all.

Haha it's not regulated at all. There are clusters of sites, like four or five "Silver Lake" campsites or "High Bridge" sites. But those are miles apart. We have "Pine Camp" and "White Brook 1." There are two sites past ours, but it's on a dead end, so there's rarely cars coming through. The two sites we have can hold quite a few tents - at least ten. There is an outhouse at each site.

You can drink all the beer you like, we've gotten pretty drunk there before.

Let's see, what else.. oh, it's about 2.5 hours away. It took me about 45 minutes to get there from the dorms. Some family is going, and some friends so far. (Karen, Gretchen, Elizabeth and her family, possibly others).

It's a campsite, but thats a general term. You're basically on your own up there. Chris described it as "a clearing with an outhouse."

You should go for your birthday - you'd have so much fun!
