It seems as if the worst of the recent catastrophes is over... that is certainly a relief.

[A thoughtful pause.]Since things have settled down somewhat, I believe that now would be an appropriate time for some questions. I have been here for some time already, yet have only gained the most basic of information. There is still much I'm curious ( Read more... )

You mean to say that every single person here has been kidnapped from their home as well?

That's... quite a feat, if it's true.

A-ahuh.

[ Moa does not share any skepticism. .D. ]

Some people are f-from the same pl-places, and s-some are alon-ne. The s-scientists are f-from here, of course...

It looks like this place doesn't just not care about the distance or dimension you're traveling from to get to here, but it doesn't care about time, either.

If you mean people who die here, I'm sure the scientists have some revival information they're just not sharing with us.

Can't help you much with the area.

Yes, I'd noticed both. With all the recent chaos, I'd barely had time to question it, but...

You mentioned that these "scientists" had something to do with it. I've heard very little about them, other than in passing. Perhaps you could elaborate?

Probably because they've only come to see us once.

All I know is that they run this place and don't like us, much.

Ah. That's about as much as I know about them myself.

It may be connected to how we were sent here.

Do you have information on that, then?

None at all. I am simply suspecting a relation, simply because spatial manipulation is involved.

...I see. I suppose their methods are simply beyond understanding.

Not asking your little bro? [of course he notices.]

He's been occupied for most of the week. ...I doubt he has time for all my questions.

Pretty sure he wouldn't mind makin' time.

Perhaps. But I believe gathering a range of opinions is valuable as well.

Seems to be something the scientists can do.

Ah, yes, so I'd heard. How they do it seems to be a mystery to everyone, though.

Not surprisingly, I suppose... though it seems strange that with so many worlds represented that bringing back the dead is so unusual.

Well, perhaps even that is understandable.

I suppose that says something; that death is the single universal for all who are brought here... and then, just like that, it is taken away. What is the purpose of these resurrections, I wonder?
