A day later we find Clara asking Hal to go steady with her.
And he agrees! (Even though he's a flirt and has commitment issues).
The new couple decides to celebrate, and Clara not wanting to waste anytime, feels that the time is right to try for a baby.
Later that night:
The following day Clara calls Hal to tell him the news!
Followed by a short trip to the neighbors to dig for some treasure. This trip finds an uncut emerald and some bubble bath. Not too shabby!
Clara soon realizes that digging through the trash and her job alone are not going to be enough to support a new baby. She calls Hal and has him meet her at the gazebo downtown.
