It really makes a world of difference. And even if you make too much of whatever interesting, presumably not-junk food, that just means you have an easy, quick meal another day.

Another thing I've found -- it's amazing how much of a difference a while of good nutrition/quality, healthy food makes on my overall state of health and energy level.

I always feel like "oh, junky-food-such-and-such would really be nice right now" and then end up feeling like a slug later.

Tonight zombie_hime whipped up thinly sliced steak, grilled vegetables on a bed of mixed grains (Trader.Joe's++). Granted, it was based on leftovers, but it was a good, quick, easy dinner with much better nutritional value than we'd have gotten with something quick and junky.

But, I ramble... the point is, good move! Keep it up and you'll find it's actually easier than junk most of the time.

I don't know about easier, but definitely more rewarding.

I miss Trader Joe's. But we got a decent exchange: now we have a McGinnis Sisters across the street. It's fantastic.
