I wish you were standing in front of me right now because only flaily hand motions can properly impart how much I loved this. HIPSTERS! IN LOVE! IN ANGSTY LOVE! WITH A SIDE DISH OF TOM HARDY!

Here's the thing: porn is always fun, but totally unnecessary when you have quietly suggestive hot angsty almost-porn. In fact, I like it a bit better. And you are extremely good at it.

There were a couple really stellar lines, like when she has Tom behind her, the bared expanse of his chest flush with her back, the bumpy cord of her spine dividing his chest in half and love, darling, I’ve a headache - can you just let one of us fuck you and you forget it then, eh? and she let him come inside her that first time, the decision stupid and rash but she'd revel in the wet feel of him anyway.!!! DUDE. ARG. I have a well established thing for realistic, stupidly hot bareback sex, even though it makes me feel bad (I am throughly against unprotected sex in real life). That is so friggin hot. You worked in Tom so damn well, too. I loved ( ... )

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU INDEED! And ohhhhh man, I am so relieved you liked this! I think I wrote this in a fugue state where I was burnt out on human rights law and loaded up on cough syrup, because I turned on my computer this morning and was all " . . . I wrote this? This happened?" Just, LOL.

I am ALWAYS a fan of suggestive porn ( . . . and always the graphic; basically I am a fan of porn), and YES - I feel like we've talked about hot bareback sex before, but nghh, it always presses buttons with me fic-wise, especially when portrayed realistically. There's just something really gritty and intimate about it!

(I THINK I AM A CLOSET HIPSTER. Hence, why I can write hipsters hahaha. But no, I do know what you mean about being cerebral, haha).

BUT THANK YOU! I am so excited to read that fic you posted! It's my reward for later today once I get through a few more pages of notes, haha. Finals season, tis the worst, haha.

Ahahha, I love that you can write this well while high on cough syrup. I wish I was still in school. Academic writing made it SO MUCH EASIER to write fic, frankly. I'd write 30 pages on federalism in the former Yugoslavia, and my brain would be like, "FIC ABOUT INCESTY BROTHERS NOW? HELLS YEAH." Ahaha. I mean, yes, I still do a lot of formal writing at work, but it's not the same sort of intellectual stimulation as grad work, you know? I think my brain is atrophying ( ... )

LOL tis an artform. I'm a young Hemingway only with cough syrup instead of booze lol. And I think that's very true about academic writing influencing fic. I also think it's stress - when I have to read a ton and study all I want to do is write. Or I want to tie legal theories into fic and somehow make them cooler than they are hahaha (I swear, all of contract law can be manipulated into some sort of discourse about relationships - shit about accidental partnerships, and tying yourself to another despite your intent, blah blah haha). But that's really cool that you wrote about federalism in the former Yugoslavia! I did some studying/work with the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia this past summer, and I'm basically endlessly fascinated with that whole mess haha ( ... )

Oh this was so great! I can see Tom drawing out the Orange Grove joke for too long and not giving a crap that people don't think it's all that funny anymore or Ellen wanting to go see some hipster DJ who is probably friends with Ryan Gosling in another life. The line about her being tired of every decision being put forth in front of a board of directors was MARVELOUS and really captured that ever present if things were different, but would you want things to be different? sadness of the fic.

God, this is AMAZING. It's all sharp, uneasy edges and tangled, complicated ideas that get stuck in your mind. And seriously hot. ♥

That is totally okay! I know for a fact that I have some unanswered feedback sitting around on my journal too, haha. But yeah, this fic is still stuck in my mind -- I've never read RPF written quite like you do it, and I am seriously in love.

Well I am rather late to the party but eh, better late then never yeah?

My roommate absolutely loves your writing and she's told me about you before but I've not been much in the way of any of the fandoms you've been a part of yet so I didn't have much to check out, as it were. But then I saw Tom Hardy and my radar zeroed in (because I am all kinds of ridiculous that way, of course) and to find him with Ellen Page and Joseph Gordon-Levitt well.

/life story Anyway. This was absolutely lovely and beautifully written and I will be checking to see if there's anything else I can read by you because. Well. Yes.
