But Oh Mah Gahd. I. Love. This.
In this story, it is always the beast come for the maiden.
The beast: a wolf, a man, a heavy body pressing a lighter one down, the sharp crisp blade of an axe, the unnoticed grind of familial manipulation, a broken oath, a broken bottom lip, the weight of a bronze crown on too small a head.
You're killing me, Smalls. Omg their interactions - both in AFfC and in this fic, and I love how you've wound it all together - are pitch perfect. Those last two lines, UGH. This is just wonderful, and so good, Michelle!!! DAYUM.

This is so amazingly good. I mean, I love this dynamic and their actions and Jeyne as the witch on the Crag. And Jeyne, she's so compelling here, and Jaime's thoughts are perfect.
Love this and you are awesome.

And oh man, I feel like this Jaime/Jeyne thing is really eating my brain? Like, I kinda want to flesh out this whole TWO YEARS LATER idea where Jeyne has become this reviled creature alone at the Crag and Jaime's still . . . Jaime, lol, and idk, maybe he's wounded and it's what happened with Robb all over again -- the two of them alone at the Crag as he recovers -- and he's supposed to deliver her to her new husband post-war, etc., etc. IDK, SPIT-BALLING HERE, BUT BASICALLY I AM NOW REALLY INTO THESE TWO HAHA.

I've honestly adored everything of yours I've read and this is certainly no exception <33 I've never even considered this pairing before, and yet somehow all I can think of atm are all the different post-war possibilities the two of them could have--now THAT'S the power of good fic!!
&& you have such a wonderful way with words, I could easily quote the entire thing and call it "my favorite part" <3__<3
