This is legitimately the first Prime Suspect fic I've even found, so thank you so much for being one of the only other people in the world who loves this show. This was amazing.
Thank you so much!!! I'm thrilled that you not only enjoyed the fic, but are a fan of the show too! Too few people seem to be watching it (which is I guess why NBC has all but canceled it lol)!
He leaves his hand there, as though still covering the wound. OH LORD ABOVE JUST KILL ME NOW MICHELLE AND HAVE DONE WITH IT.
Everything about this is just perfection like, it's just so solid and them and this is so clearly the truth right here. Their voices are so clearly them and like, the slow slide into them being uncomfortably familiar with each other and picking up scraps of details about each other along the way is just precisely how it should go. So many favourite things about this behemoth of a fic (u r so beautiful 2 meeee) but, because I copypasta'd it immediately; I love that conversation during the stakeout? Where they're both talking about similar things, having those conversations at each other that are weirdly revealing (and also hilarious, Michelle, so much of this fic was just gold. see: everything Augie and Lou said or did. See: " I don’t care what anyone says, that shit is real. The ocean is powerful. I respect it, man. And I am totally afraid of it.” SHUT UP so perfect, I could hear Jane's intonation and e v e r y

I am so glad to hear you enjoyed this and all their voices came through! That stakeout scene was definitely my favorite to write hahaha. DIALOGUE IS FUN!!! But thank you so much, girl!!!
I AM GLAD YOU WATCH THIS SHOW SO I CAN FLAIL AT YOU ABOUT ALL THE FEELS!!!
MICHELLE. I REPEAT, MICHELLE. THIS IS THE ACTUAL BEST. I have forgotten most of my immediate thoughts after reading this awesome monstrosity but basically they were: THE SEX, THE REPETITION OF HER NAME FROM REG, THE EVERYTHING.
UGH I LOVED THE REPETITION OF THIS: Things fall apart, she wanted to say. Collateral damage. Can’t account for every chip that hits the table.
" I don’t care what anyone says, that shit is real. The ocean is powerful. I respect it, man. And I am totally afraid of it.” Everything is so spot on and I love how in this conversation you have them talking to each other about similar things but it just means so much more - the fact that they're sharing things with each other
