VOTED!

So, I have cast my vote for our great President and local candidates. You guys will find this interesting ... it's no secret I'm a hardnosed republican, but guess what? I did not vote a straight Republican ticket. I actually had one local Democrat candidate that I voted for. Can you believe that ( Read more... )

I voted two weeks ago lol I sadly voted straight ticket but I live in CA. All we have here are moderate Republicans or Far Far left liberals so I have to vote republican lol. It was crazy we had way to many props on the ballot.

yeah, here in West Virginia you will get a lot of "Republicans" putting a D beside their name to get elected. We're a generally democrat state but it's mostly moderate democrats. I voted for a Democrat candidate that is running for our state senate. He is the next door neighbor of my ex girlfriend. He's a good guy, he has a D by his name but hold pretty Conservative views.

I think you made a lot of good points. I think it sucks that she completely ignored your points just because you're a Republican.

Who do you have German 102 with?

You know how I have a fundraising job, right? We called for the WV Troopers Association today. Nearly 50% of the people I called told me they weren't voting. Tragic, very tragic. The odd thing was that most of that 50% was old folks; the younger ones generally said they had already voted, or were going to do so today. Granted, they could have been lying, but I sorta doubt it. I bet those very same people that refused to vote, will be the very people that bitch and moan for the next four years. "Oh, Bush is so terrible, I wish he wasn't in office..." blah blah blah. Bastards!

Just like to pop in and say that I think you represented yourself in whatever that was. Debate, argument, one calmer person and a bunch of screaming ... other people.

Though I prescribe to neither side, had I taken the time to read the "debate" of yours, my vote would have swung even more firmly towards Bush.

Good job and all that. Eleven out of ten. Absodoodle.

well thank you I appreciate that. It's seems I've gotten a few supporters after all of this haha. Usually people don't like to be questioned I guess. She simply had false information and just as she has the right to post it, I have the right to call the false info out and tell the real side of it. Then of course you got the other people who hate bush, see I'm defending him and jump in calling me names and bringing up irrelevant things to attack me. Haha I'm a very vocal republican, I'm used to it. I get crap from people in class every day almost. haha, but thank you for your kind words!

Back in 2000 I was away in the army on Election Day. So I had to do my military absentee ballot thing. Seeing all the mess ballots like mine got into four years ago, I went to my local polling place here in Hurricane, WV.
I had to stand in line for about two hours but, you know, it was worth it. Too bad my guy didn't get governor, too. (c:
