If you have had a Professor with the last name Duke, I would be willing to bet it was not a good experience. Well, we have two Dukes (to my knowledge) at our fine institute of higher education, which are married. One Duke teaches History, and the other lovely half of the Duke duo

I had both Rainey Duke for English 102 and David Duke for History 230 & 231. Both were excellent teachers (in my opinion). Funny, but you didn't mention any of her teaching/classroom methods, just the fact that she dislikes Bush. I'll admit she is a bit eccentric, though...

Oh, and I had Stooke for Eng 102 for about a week before I dropped his class. HE was crazy, old, and senile!!!

actually I did mention her class room methods. Her workload is way too much for someone who is taking 18 hours. Like her husband, she assigns reading assignments that is almost impossible to keep up with considering you have 5 other classes that are assigning at least half the amount she is. Given the time span each reading assignment is due ... well, you get my point.

They teach like their students have not one single other class but theirs. Now, that can be a good thing ... just not when you have 18 hours.
