So I have to write a series of poems in response to a text I'm studying. It's called The Monkey's Mask, by Dorothy Porter. It's a crime novel in verse, and a very good read. I recommend it thoroughly.

Anyway, this is the first poem. It's about the when the killer marries his wife. (Which isn't in the novel, by the way).
