Parks and Recreation - Jerry's Painting feelings. I don't know what I'm doing with myself. This is long and there are no pretty picspam accompaniments. I'M SORRY.

every time i look at it i think to myself, 'wow. what can't that centaur woman do?' )

tv: parks & rec - post-ep thoughts, tv: parks & recreation - women, tv: parks & recreation

Leslie and Ben's relationship is probably the #1 thing I look forward to seeing on TV right now. Maybe #2, but still.
Ben Wyatt is my 2nd tv boyfriend (right after Rory from Doctor Who). I loved when he looked at the painting, was shocked, and then went for seconds!Adam Scott is doing an amazing job.

I'm basically on, like, an OTP high that I haven't experienced since S2 of The Office, so I'm going to friend you and say: yes. This show just gets me with this positive, confident, self-assured woman and what can't she do besides drive a car and climb an escalator and yes. Your Leslie/Ben feelings are my Leslie/Ben feelings, and I have come to trust this show (in a very, very short time, since I only just started watching it, despite the fact that people fujiidom had been bugging me about it for months) with their relationships and their hearts and my feelings and. Yes.

Friending, basically. Yep.

So, LJ let me know that my fic was linked here, so I followed it, so tickled that someone would link it, then ended up reading this whole thing and WOW. I LOVE everything that you said about Parks here. I mean...wow. You just really captured everything I feel and love about this show and put it into words. Like, I want to go back and pick out certain things and comment further on them, but I feel like I would just end up copy/pasting everything. But, seriously, Leslie's empowerment throughout this whole episode was so great. I loved this:

THANK YOU, show, for letting a woman own herself and be proud of it, and for letting other people appreciate that about her.

Because, seriously, thank you show!

(And really, thanks for linking to my fic! It makes me squeal with delight, knowing it's linked amongst such awesome words! Is it cool if I friend you?)
